What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites function properly, to improve their efficiency, and to provide website operators with information about how the site is being used.
We use cookies and similar technologies (including local storage and session storage) on gulfcapital.com and the GulfCapital Investor Portal. This Cookie Policy explains what cookies we use, why we use them, and how you can control them.
This Policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
Types of Cookies We Use
We categorise our cookies by their purpose and duration:
By Duration
- Session cookies: These are temporary cookies that expire when you close your browser. They are used to maintain your session and ensure the website functions correctly during your visit.
- Persistent cookies: These remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them. They are used to remember your preferences across multiple visits.
By Purpose
We use four categories of cookies:
- Strictly Necessary — essential for the website to function;
- Analytics — to understand how visitors use our website;
- Functional — to remember your preferences;
- Third-Party — set by external services we use.
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are required for our website and Investor Portal to operate. Without them, the services you have requested cannot be provided. We do not require your consent to use these cookies.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|

gc_csrf | Prevents cross-site request forgery attacks | Session |
gc_consent | Records your cookie consent preferences | 12 months |
__Secure-next-auth.session-token | Authentication session management | Session |
Analytics Cookies
We use analytics cookies to understand how visitors interact with our website — which pages are visited most frequently, where visitors come from, and how they navigate through the site. This data is used in aggregate and is not linked to individual identities.
We only place analytics cookies with your consent.
| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes users for aggregate traffic analysis | 2 years |
_ga_XXXXXXXX | Google Analytics | Session persistence for analytics measurement | 2 years |

_gat | Google Analytics | Throttles request rate | 1 minute |
GulfCapital uses Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation enabled and data sharing with Google disabled. We have also configured data retention to the minimum available period (2 months for user-level data). We do not use Google Analytics advertising features.
Functional Cookies
Functional cookies allow our website to remember choices you have made (such as your language preference or display settings) and to provide enhanced, personalised features. These cookies do not track your browsing activity on other websites.
We only place functional cookies with your consent.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
gc_lang | Remembers your language preference | 12 months |
gc_display | Remembers your display and accessibility settings | 12 months |
Third-Party Cookies
Some pages on our website include content or functionality provided by third parties. These third parties may set their own cookies when you interact with their embedded content. GulfCapital does not control these cookies and recommends reviewing the privacy policies of these third parties directly.
| Third Party | Purpose | More Information |
|---|---|---|
| Google Fonts | Serving web fonts for consistent typography | fonts.google.com/about |

Managing Your Cookie Preferences
When you first visit our website, you will be presented with a cookie consent banner giving you the option to:
- Accept all cookies: Including strictly necessary, analytics, and functional cookies.
- Accept necessary only: Only strictly necessary cookies will be used.
- Customise preferences: Enable or disable specific cookie categories individually.
You can update your preferences at any time by clearing your gc_consent cookie and revisiting the site, or by adjusting settings in your browser.
Managing Cookies via Your Browser
Most browsers allow you to view, manage, delete, and block cookies. Please note that restricting or deleting cookies may impair the functionality of our website, particularly the Investor Portal. Below are links to cookie management instructions for common browsers:
Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal to websites. Our website currently does not alter its behaviour in response to DNT signals, as there is no universally accepted standard for how websites should respond. We are committed to providing explicit opt-out mechanisms through our cookie consent preferences, which we believe represents a more meaningful approach to privacy choice.
Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our cookie usage, technology, or applicable law. Material changes will be communicated via a prominent notice on our website and, where appropriate, via email. The "Last revised" date at the top of this Policy indicates when it was most recently updated.
We encourage you to review this Policy periodically to stay informed about our use of cookies.
